Throughout the history of the game we have seen so much of shoes which have been released by various brands. One specific shoe will have specifications which will be completely different from another and ranking them can be subjective and something which will not be easy. The lightest shoe in the world can be the most agile shoes but probably will not be the most durable or the best protective shoe.
Therefore we will be ranking the shoes purely based on the looks of the shoes and only that. Basically these will be the shoes which will make you go like “Dayum, WHAT ARE THOSE”

10. CONVERSE “THE WEAPON”
One of the classics, Converse released this kicks in 1986. It might not look much now but mind you in its time this was definitely one of best looking shoes and it was way ahead of its time. Many say if converse allowed players to have signature shoes it will be the Jordans before the Jordans. Talking about alumni Magic Johnson and Larry bird wore these. You won’t see best two players in the world wearing the same shoe ever again.
9. NIKE LEBRON 15 “EQUALITY’
The 15th edition of the signature shoe of LeBron were first released on October 17, 2017. Although the casual LeBron 15’s were very decent looking the one drew the most attention is the special edition LeBron wore to a game against Washington known as ‘Equality”. The mismatched black and white with the word “EQUALITY” embossed in Gold was an instant fan favorite and for this very reason NIKE decided to make this a limited edition release into the market by manufacturing only 400 pairs.
8. NIKE AIR ZOOM FLIGHT THE GLOVE
This is one of the most unique shoe designs you will come across. Nike Air Zoom Flight The Glove was initially released in 1998 and and it was orginally designed for Gary Payton. The first shoe was basic black and white colors and many more colors were added as of late. The inner shoe and the out zipper covering the whole inner shoe is not something we have ever come across and it was enough to earn it a place in our top 10.
7. ADIDAS D ROSE 4.5
An edition of signature shoe of the youngest MVP of the league which was initially dropped in 2014 January. Too bad Derrick Rose had to go through what he went through but still rooting for him. This is easily one of the if not “the best” looking shoe Adidas has ever created because of the Zebra like design and the range of colors with which it was released.
6. NIKE ADAPT BB
Although some are not a fan of the design, this is the most technologically advanced shoe ever designed. Nike Adapt BB was released on May,2019 and it comes with a unique self lacing technology and also with a light which can be changed at our discretion and this light is able to change the color of the bottom part of the shoe. Even though the design of the shoe and the colors can be improved without a doubt, as a cornerstone of the new generation of technologically advanced shoes this deserves a spot on the list.

5. NIKE KYRIE 3 “MAMBA MENTALITY“
We are now reaching the top 5 of the list. In the 5th spot we got a variant of the one one time NBA champ Kyrie Ewing’s signature shoe which was released in 2017. Kyrie admits that Bruce Lee to had a high influence in his life on and off the court and the relationship kyrie has with Kobe is well known around the basketball world. This shoe pays homage to Bruce Lee by including the four slash marks and the colors are influenced by Zoom Kobe 5.
The detail in this shoe is absolutely exquisite that if you closely observe the body of the shoe the inner side is designed in a snake inspired pattern fading in to a Kyrie inspired Samurai pattern metaphorically indicating the passing of the torch from the Black Mamba to Uncle Drew. The design in the tongue maybe the most iconic feature of the shoe where we can see a “Kyrobe” which is derived by fusing both the signature logos.
4.AIR JORDAN 31
These beasts are known as the lightest Jordans ever made and is the 31st signture shoe of His Airness. It was inspired by the Air Jordan 1and was released in 2017. What sets apart these shoes are the unexpectedly high number of colors it is available and the stitched luxury finish. The design is just extraordinary and it is the first time in the history that the Nike’s “Swoosh” logo and Jordan’s “Jumpman” logo is in one single shoe.
Going into our top 3.
3. CONVERSE CHUCK TAYLOR ALL STARS
I know what you are thinking. Yes it might not be the most attractive basketball shoe when you are looking at this from 2019. But how about this, this shoe was released in 1920(which explains the picture quality). Yes you heard it right this was released almost a century ago. This is the most orginal of all basketball shoes and perhaps the starting point of the shoes we see today. So lets show some respect to these good old thing of beauty. Think about these for a minute, these were the Nikes or Under Armours before they even existed.
2. NIKE KOBE 10 HIGH
Okay I’ll be honest, I might be a bit biased here. You actually can’t help when you grow up being a Kobe fan it always seem like his shoes are the dopest ( they actually can be, what do you think) . Also I was privilaged enough to own a pair of these and now you get the idea about my biasness. If we look at this from a neutral point of view they are still these are just a thing of beauty aren’t they. Just look at the detail, the design, and the finish. Probably the best looking high cut shoe ever created. Simply ‘WOW’.
And drum roll please.
1. AIR JORDAN 1
How can you not mention this when you are talking about greatest basketball shoes of all-time. The OG of all the basketball shoes which was first signature shoe of the greatest basketball player we have ever seen. However this caused major controversy with the release of the black and red shoe. NBA banned these from wearing and were going to find $5000 every game Jordan wore this shoe. Nike has stated that they paid this sum on behalf of the player and used this in an ad campaign. Though this was the case there is a conspiracy saying that Nike never paid any amount and Jordan ever wore these shoes in an NBA game as all the on court pictures of this shoe is taken either before the ban or in the all star weekend. Anyways that is a story for another day.
Other than the banned color combination there were the more white based shoe which Jordan used to play throughout the season of 1985. Later more identical shoes were released as re-releases of Air Jordan 1. This is a shoe which speaks for itself in terms of elegance and just a single look look of this shoe is enough for earn it the “BEST LOOKING SHOE OF ALL TIME”.
