Its the 16th year of the 3 time NBA champ from Akron and it is also the 16th signature shoe of the line.
LeBron 16 has really stepped up the shoe game and one of the best shoes in 2018. The comfortability speaks for itself where this is one of the well cushioned shoes in the market. The hybrid of max air and zoom air has given the natural mobility to the feet while the unique lacing patterns make sure you can get your fit at your dicretion.

LeBron’s are know for for their protection and the 16th is no difference. Battleknit 2.0 material which is created just for LeBrons provide the stability the foot required whithin the shoe. The traction the outer sole offers enhances the protection and the cushioning is ideal for impact protection. However the ankle support is rather mediocre.

LeBrons are never known for the light weight or the traction. Although the shoe is still bulky and not lightweight like it predecessors (what do you expect from a shoe of a 6’9 250lbs force of nature) the traction has really stepped up. The improved lines has improved the grip and the hard rubber which is used also extremely durable. It has as good a traction where you can step into any type of court without worrying about will the shoe hold up.
It definitely is a decent looking shoe although personally I prefer the design of LeBron 15 and it also comes with a hefty price tag which is a concern.
CONS
- It is heavy and bulky. If you are searching for the extreme speed or agility this will not quite be the perfect option.
- The first few days of using will be tough until the shoe adjust for the feet.
- The hard outer sole may limit the feel for the foot.
- It comes with a high price tag which is concerning and once the rubber grips are gone the air units will be exposed. Therefore this will not be one of those shoes you can wear even after the grip is gone.
Final Thoughts
LeBron 16 is one of the best shoe releases in 2018. It is a good looking shoe which has improved almost everything other than the design from lebron 15. Basically a really good cushioned shoe with heavy traction and good use of flyknit and air units where the price is a bit hefty. Although this is a versatile shoe will be a better match for a strong and explosive forward who doesn’t completely rely on speed .
