What is a Triple-Double in Basketball

A basketball triple double refers to a player who achieves double digits in three of the five statistical categories of points, rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks in a single game. For example, a player who scores 10 points, grabs 10 rebounds, and dishes out 10 assists in a game would be said to have recorded a triple double. Triple doubles are considered a rare and impressive feat in basketball because they require a player to excel in multiple areas of the game, rather than just one or two.
